Quality Assurance / Quality Control

 

Quality Assurance & Quality Control Policy As a matter of corporate policy the management of Orahson International Limited attaches tremendous importance to quality. The company is therefore committed to professional and technical excellence. As a guide, the company adopts the QA/QC concept of various reputable professional bodies and enforces the same in combination with the standard specifications of its Clients. Every staff of Orahson International Limited is to undergo a series of orientation programs on quality assurance and quality control. These programs become routine as technical personnel undergo compulsory courses on QA/QC, organized regularly. For every project, a quality assurance program facilitates the realization of quality standards and execution targets, and a QA/QC engineer is involved to ensure strict adherence to quality standards. QA/QC engineer also acts as the company’s focal point on quality issues for liaison between the company and its Client.

 

Community, Health, Safety, Environment, and Security Policy

Our company policy is to conduct business activities in a way that prioritizes the health and safety of our staff, minimizes damage to property and the environment, and positively affects the communities in which we operate. The management of Orahson International Limited firmly believes accidents are preventable and aims to achieve zero accident targets.
We recognize that accidents can cause damage, loss, and injury. To ensure the safety of our employees, the company has established safety rules, provided well-maintained work equipment, and implemented strict disciplinary measures for offenders. We understand that potential risk areas exist at home and in the workplace, so we prioritize providing welfare amenities and health facilities in the workplace.

This policy applies to every employee expected to comply with the directive and take a personal interest in their safety. Employees are encouraged to report unsafe conditions promptly and wear the protective equipment provided. The cooperation of every staff member is crucial to making this policy effective. To support this policy, we will:

    • Ensure that staff working in marine environments are proficient swimmers and wear flotation devices.
    • Provide information about any known potential hazards.
    • Ensure that every staff member receives physicals from a government-registered practitioner.
    • Ensure staff members undergo safety courses organized by reputable organizations and our clients.
    • Maintain high and cost-effective standards for projects, operations, and contracts.
    • Report accidents promptly when they occur.
    • Provide safe working environments.
    • Supply adequate personal protective equipment and enforce its usage.
    • Ensure the security of personnel, equipment, and materials at our operation sites by providing trained guards.

 

Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E) Policy

We at Orahson International Limited assume responsibility for designing, planning, and arranging work processes within our area of operation so that safety hazards are eliminated or minimized. Where hazards cannot be controlled through engineering controls and substitutions, we will provide appropriate/relevant quality personal protective equipment. We will ensure that each worker is trained in and knowledgeable of the hazards associated with work, the type of P.P.E required, and its proper use, care, and maintenance. The following safety guidelines should be adhered to. to maximize workers’ health and safety:

    • Constantly inspect the personal protective equipment before use.
    • Ensure your P.P.E. fits, especially in hearing or respiratory protection.
    • Wear only the type of P.P.E. Your supervisor specifies as appropriate for the job.
    • Keep personal protective equipment clean and store it in a designated location or container when not in use.
    • We shall enforce the effective use and maintenance of available protective equipment to entail regular condition audits and replacement of defective ones.

 

Waste Management Policy

We at Orahson International Limited understand the importance of waste management and how it affects the environment. We know that wastes constitute an environmental nuisance if not handled and disposed of. We are committed to ensuring operations and activities comply with current waste management legislation. Our aim and objectives are to operate within full compliance with environmental laws. Manage the process to ensure compliance with best practices. Support and ensure that all staff know their responsibilities under environmental law and how compliance can be achieved and maintained.

 

Permit-To-Work (PTW) Policy

At Orahson International Limited, our policy is to ensure that before the commencement of any critical/ non-routing job and in any restricted area, Permit-to-work is signed by the relevant authorities. Revalidation of the Permit must be obtained per shift and/ or per day. Also, precautions stated in the PTW must be strictly adhered to, and a necessary signature obtained.
